About The Position

Rite of Passage Team is hiring for an Assistant Program Director of Group Living at Fort Myers Academy in Fort Myers, Florida. Ft. Myers Academy (FMYA) is a moderate risk, all-female program, contracted through the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, which offers comprehensive care and treatment, specializing in evidence-based intensive mental health services. The academy is dedicated to providing high-quality care in a serene and supportive environment, designed to promote healing and recovery for individuals facing mental health challenges. With a focus on evidence-based practices, Ft. Myers Academy ensures that each client receives personalized, effective treatment tailored to their specific needs.

Requirements

  • Possess a BA/BS in related field (master’s degree is preferred).
  • Four years of related experience in residential facility management.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening and TB testing.
  • Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry.
  • Must be able to meet the requirements of an ROP-eligible driver, including having a valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees residential services and living units.
  • Serves as the Program Director in his/her absence.
  • Manages all available resources in a manner that provides the students with the highest level of care.
  • Ensures the Rite of Passage program is being implemented in accordance with ROP policies and procedures and Federal, State and Local licensing requirements.
  • Supervises the Shift Supervisors and direct care staff.
