Group Director of Intake
About The Position
The Group Director of Intake provides leadership and strategic direction for intake services across The Brook Hospital facilities in Louisville. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality clinical programs that meet the needs of patients, the community, and organizational performance goals. As a licensed clinician, the Group Director supports facility Intake Directors in managing assessment and referral services, including psychiatric evaluations, crisis intervention, and referrals. The position collaborates closely with CEOs, medical staff, and interdisciplinary teams, serving as a key liaison between intake departments and external partners.
Requirements
- Master’s degree required.
- Minimum 3–5 years of related intake, behavioral health, or leadership experience required.
- Strong knowledge of managed care processes, utilization review, and regulatory standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound clinical and operational decisions.

Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, strategic planning, and oversight for intake services across multiple facilities.
- Develop and implement clinical and operational goals to improve performance and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Mobile Assessment Team, including staffing, scheduling, employee development, performance management, and coordination of services to meet community behavioral health needs.
- Provide clinical supervision and support to facility Intake Directors.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and lead quality improvement initiatives.
- Partner with Business Development to strengthen referral relationships and marketing strategies.
- Oversee intake assessments, admissions, and transitions of care to ensure timely and accurate services.
- Manage personnel performance, staff development, and interdepartmental communication.
- Analyze statistical data and trends to inform program development and patient care standards.
