About The Position

This position is responsible for overseeing and managing remedial academic programs and services for children in the non-public schools as well as supporting in a broader role across NPSP, K-12 ESL, and Federal Programs. The position supports and reports to the Program Director of Educational Support Services. The position requires collaboration with the Program Director, administrators, teachers, and other stakeholders to promote positive student outcomes. This Assistance Program Director supports the Program Director in organizing, facilitating, and evaluating services provided by the Non-Public School Program, K-12 ESL Program, and Federal Programs. Additionally, this position provides guidance and support to schools, fostering effective communication between the schools receiving services and the relevant AIU support personnel. The Assistant Director formally observes and evaluates all non-public teachers.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Education or related field.
  • Valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or II certificate.
  • Valid Pennsylvania Administrative I or II certificate.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of administrative or supervisory experience in an educational setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment methods.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations and non-public schools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with K-12 ESL programs.
  • Experience with Federal Programs (e.g., Title I, IDEA).
  • Knowledge of special education law and regulations.
  • Experience in program evaluation and data analysis.
