About The Position

PathPoint is seeking a full-time Assistant Program Coordinator to lead their day programs in Thousand Oaks, CA. These day services focus on providing behavioral supports and teaching vocational, independence, and social skills to adults with developmental disabilities. The programs utilize engaging curriculum and community integration opportunities. PathPoint is a nonprofit organization committed to helping people flourish by partnering with individuals and families to foster hope, build life skills, access support systems, and form meaningful relationships across several California counties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Psychology, Social Work, or related human services degree and a minimum of 1 year of management experience in the human services field, OR a high school diploma and a minimum of 3 years of experience in the human services field, including at least 1 year in a management/supervisory position and 2 years of experience or training in either (a) care and supervision of clients in a licensed adult day program, or an adult day health care facility or (b) care and supervision of one or more of the categories of persons to be served by the day program.
  • Culturally aware, acknowledges diverse employee backgrounds, possesses skills to collaborate across cultures, and avoids biased assumptions based on cultural differences.
  • Must hold a valid California driver's license with satisfactory driving record and at least 5 years of driving experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the high quality of support and service across both programs.
  • Advocate for both the team and the individuals supported in the programs.
  • Provide administrative support for assigned programs.
  • Plan, design, and implement program curriculum to meet each individual's goals and needs.
  • Mentor staff in collaboration with the Program Coordinator.
  • Maintain a positive work environment across both programs.
  • Ensure programs and facility follow all applicable regulations, including Community Care Licensing (CCL).
  • Provide staffing coverage when needed, including providing direct support to cover staff absences.
  • Supervise and support program individuals while they are learning and practicing skills at worksites.
