Western Connecticut State University’s School of Professional Studies is pleased to announce that applications are being accepted for a tenure track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Health Promotion & Exercise Sciences (HPX). The School of Professional Studies is comprised of five departments: Education & Education Psychology, Health Promotion & Exercise Science, Justice and Law, Nursing, and Social Work. Undergraduate degrees are offered in each of these professional fields, as well as Master’s degrees in Nursing, and Education & Education Psychology, and Doctoral degrees in Education and Nursing. The HPX department currently offers three B.S. degree level programs in Public Health, Health Education (PK-12), and Sport and Wellness Management, as well as offering courses to fulfill the University’s Personal Wellness general education competency. HPX is also the home of the Institute for Holistic Health Studies. The B.S. in Public Health major has options in Allied Health Professions, Community Health, and Fitness and Wellness.
