About The Position

The Department of Psychology at McGill University is seeking to fill a tenure-track academic position in Child Clinical Psychology at the Assistant Professor rank. This role is part of an effort to expand the Child and Adolescent Stream within their CPA- and PCSAS-accredited program. The department has a training clinic for student assessment and psychotherapy training, and offers excellent facilities for interdisciplinary research, including collaborations with the McGill University Health Centre (Montreal Children’s Hospital) and the Montreal Neurological Institute.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology by the time of appointment.
• Authorized to work in Canada.
• Willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based.
• English communication skills (verbal and written).

Nice To Haves

• Research programs complementing existing faculty strengths, such as the development of internalizing and/or externalizing problems, links between stress exposure and psychopathology, or interventions with children and adolescents.

Responsibilities

• Develop a productive and internationally recognized research program.
• Obtain external funding.
• Teach graduate- and undergraduate-level courses.
• Supervise graduate and undergraduate research.
• Contribute to service.
