The Department of Biomedical and Translational Sciences (BTS) at Eastern Virginia Medical School at Old Dominion University (ODU) is seeking exceptional applicants for a tenure-track/tenured faculty position at the Assistant Professor level within its research division. The department has over 50 faculty members and focuses on research in inflammation, epigenetics and genomics, metabolism, or systems biology, complementing existing strengths in cancer, cardiovascular and pulmonary disease, neuroscience, and women’s and infant’s health. The successful candidate will join a collaborative environment with access to major hospital partners, extensive core facilities, and broad research infrastructure. Faculty have access to a centralized biorepository, histological services, state-of-the-art proteomics and genomics facilities, data analytic infrastructure, and collaborative interactions across ODU and clinical departments. The role involves conducting transformative basic and translational research, advancing scientific discovery, and enhancing human health.
