The Department of Physical Therapy at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth invites applications for a full-time, 12-month faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank in the residential Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program, effective immediately. The primary focus of this position will be to contribute to the department’s teaching mission while supporting research within the residential DPT curriculum. Responsibilities include teaching in the entry level program, maintaining or collaborating on an active program of scholarship, contributing collegially to departmental research initiatives, and mentoring DPT students in scholarly activities. The faculty member will contribute to teaching in the entry-level DPT curriculum in areas consistent with their expertise. Additional responsibilities include advising students, participating in departmental and university service, and collaborating with faculty to support program operations and accreditation requirements. The successful candidate will contribute to the department’s commitment to advancing evidence-informed practice, fostering student engagement in research and scholarship, and supporting the mission of the department to develop innovative solutions for a healthier community. The faculty member will also engage in interprofessional education and collaboration with faculty across the university, school, and program.
