Assistant Professor in Cosmology
About The Position
The Department of Physics at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Cosmology and related areas at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning in Fall 2027. The successful candidate will be a member of the Texas Center for Cosmology & Astroparticle Physics (TCCAP) within the Weinberg Institute for Theoretical Physics. The position offers opportunities for collaboration within the Weinberg Institute, including the Center for Gravitational Physics and the High Energy Physics Theory Group, as well as with the Department of Astronomy and the Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences. UT Austin also hosts the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC), which provides access to powerful supercomputing resources.
Requirements
- Must hold a Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field by the start date of the appointment.
