About The Position
The Department of Neuroscience in the College of Arts & Sciences at American University is seeking to hire a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor specializing in Behavioral Neuroscience. This position, beginning August 1, 2027, is ideal for scholars who can enhance the department's course offerings and foster collaborations within the university. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an externally funded research program, contribute to the training of Ph.D. students, and teach undergraduate students in a program with over 100 majors. A strong commitment to both teaching and research excellence is essential.
Requirements
- Ph.D. (or anticipated Ph.D. completion by August 2026).
