About The Position

The Department of Biology in the College of Science at Northeastern University-NYC is seeking a Full-time, Non-Tenure Track Assistant Professor with a 10-month appointment to teach in the Undergraduate Biology Major in The College of Science in-person at the Northeastern University-New York City Campus.

Requirements

  • Earned a doctorate in Biology or a related field.
  • Experience teaching undergraduate students in Biology.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, collaboration, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to creating culturally responsive and supportive environments for students from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching three courses in Fall 2026 and three courses in Spring 2027.
  • Teaching responsibilities will include a combination of undergraduate lecture and labs in the General Biology sequence, non-majors Biology and Society, and potentially other courses within the candidate's expertise.
