About The Position

This UAMS Department of Orthopaedic Trauma surgeon position will have a specialized focus on the treatment of fractured bones and realigning joints, in order to promote the safe recovery and return of functionality to injured body parts. With extensive training this candidate will be able to treat these trauma surgeons often treat patients with multiple broken bones and fractures near a joint, like a hip, knee, or shoulder.

Requirements

Valid state medical license as MD or DO
Completion of a residency in orthopedic surgery in an ACGME approved program
Current BC/BE in orthopedic surgery (American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery)
Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

Treatment of fractured bones and realigning joints.
Promote safe recovery and return of functionality to injured body parts.
Treat patients with multiple broken bones and fractures near a joint, like a hip, knee, or shoulder.
