The Assistant Professor (tenure-track) position will teach graduate and/or undergraduate courses in nutrition and dietetics through on-line instruction with some fac-to-face training of Future Education Model Graduate Program students. Responsibilities include advising students, evaluating and grading students’ assignments in a timely manner and offering appropriate and timely feedback to gauge students’ progress. The role requires adherence to university timelines and procedures related to grading and submission of early warnings, mid-term and final examination grades. The position also involves supervising/advising students research projects, thesis or internships, and participating in the normal functioning of the Department of Nutrition Sciences, College of Health and Sciences, and the University. This includes departmental meetings and university obligatory activities such as events and student recruitment. The position is expected to engage in research and scholarly activities, publish in peer-reviewed journals, present at professional conferences, and secure external funding to meet tenure-track requirements. Inclusion of students in scholarly activities is highly encouraged. This position requires presence on campus for student support and university events requiring department presence as directed by the department chair. Strong technology training, skills, and the ability to deliver distance education courses are required.
