About The Position

The BVHS EVMS Medical Group Department of Dermatology seeks to identify a full-time physician to deliver care to patients in an ambulatory or hospital setting. The physician may be involved in the clinical rating of students/residents.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of medicine with a medical doctor (MD) degree.
• Experience in dermatology.
• Possession of a current license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Approval of and endorsement by the American Board of Dermatology.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients in an office/hospital setting.
• Participate in education, evaluation, and career development of students, residents, fellows, and staff.
• Participate in academic/clinical/research activities as needed.
• Supervise staff under faculty supervision.
• Participate in administrative, department policy, and procedure development.
• Participate in committees as assigned.
• Communicate teaching materials effectively.
• Counsel students on academic performance, life skills, and professionalism.
• Provide administrative and supervisory support to educational, clinical, and research missions.
