About The Position

The Department of Anatomy, Physiology, and Pharmacology in the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a full-time, 12-month tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. The successful candidate will establish an independent, externally funded research program and contribute to the department’s teaching mission. The candidate will participate in team teaching in the first-year veterinary curriculum, with emphasis on systems-based physiology, and contribute to graduate-level instruction. The department supports a highly collaborative research environment across the College of Veterinary Medicine, Auburn University, and through external research partnerships. The candidate is expected to contribute to this dynamic environment through collaborative scholarship, graduate student mentorship, and active participation in the intellectual and professional growth of the department.

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree in Biomedical Sciences or a related field at the time the appointment begins.
  • Evidence of research productivity and the potential to establish an independent research program.
  • Commitment to excellence in instruction.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the term of employment.
