The School of Information Systems & Technology (SISTech) at San José State University is seeking an Assistant Professor of Information Systems to begin in August 2027. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching core MIS courses such as Systems Analysis & Design, Fundamentals of MIS, and Business Programming, as well as electives in emerging areas like Data Analytics & Visualization and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The role also involves active engagement in IS-related research, evidenced by conference presentations and peer-reviewed journal publications, and contributing to the school, college, and university through service activities. SISTech, part of the Lucas College and Graduate School of Business, prepares students for professional success and societal contribution through its undergraduate MIS concentration. The program emphasizes IS best practices and hands-on experience, leveraging its Silicon Valley location for unparalleled industry engagement.
