About The Position

The College of Creative Arts (CCA) seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position to support the Department of Emerging Technology in Business and Design (ETBD) and the College of Creative Arts in immersive experience, entertainment design, and mixed reality.

Requirements

• Terminal degree in a related field by the date of appointment in a field related to immersive experiences, mixed reality, or entertainment design.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses to include extended reality, motion graphics, TouchDesigner, interactive media, entertainment design, and experiential design (involving projection mapping and our immersive production environment)
• Maintain an active research and/or creative program using the extended reality lab to support immersive experiences, mixed reality, entertainment design, or related areas of inquiry
• Actively pursue grant funding
• Develop curricula
• Coordinate the entertainment design and technology program
• Provide service to the University
• Advising students
• Facilitating graduate/undergraduate interdisciplinary research projects
• Leading client-based projects
• Participating in grant-funded projects
• Leading co-curricular activities, student organizations, etc.
