About The Position

The University of Tennessee Health Sciences in Memphis seeks an American Board-Certified Emergency Medicine faculty physician to serve in an Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medical Services/Pre-hospital care residency program. This is a part-time, non-tenure faculty position. The role includes teaching and managing resident trainees in their EMS and disaster training, along with patient care, administration, community service, and research or scholarly activities.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree.
• Graduation from an accredited Emergency Medicine residency.
• Completion of a fellowship in Emergency Medical Services.
• Experience managing an Emergency Medical Service.
• Dual board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine and EMS Medicine.
• Eligibility for Tennessee licensure.

Responsibilities

• Teach in the Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medical Services/Pre-hospital care residency program.
• Manage emergency medicine resident trainees regarding their EMS and disaster training.
• Provide patient care.
• Perform administrative duties.
• Contribute to community service.
• Participate in research and scholarly activities.
