About The Position

The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, in conjunction with the Norton Children’s Medical Group has an opening for a Pediatric Ophthalmologist (full-time 1.0 FTE) at the rank of Assistant Professor Term. The department is located in the Kentucky Lions Eye Center, which houses the academic, adult patient clinical and research offices of the faculty. The pediatric eye clinic is located in the Novak Center, which houses the clinical offices of all pediatric subspecialties. Both are located on the campus of the University of Louisville Health Sciences Center which contains the School of Medicine and four major hospitals – UofL Health - University Hospital and Jewish Hospital, Norton Hospital and Norton Children’s Hospital.

Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited ophthalmology residency program.
  • Board eligible/certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology or a Board deemed equivalent.
  • Eligible for licensure in the state of Kentucky.
  • Fellowship-trained in Pediatric Ophthalmology.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical care and teaching in an academic setting.
