About The Position

Requirements

Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
At least five years of academic experience, including teaching, research, and administrative responsibilities.
Proven ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.
A track record of research, teaching, and service that aligns with the mission and goals of the school and the university.
Commitment to inclusive teaching.
Ability to provide effective mentorship.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

Teaching, research, and service in the School of Computer and Information Sciences.
Promote an inclusive learning environment and actively work to improve student retention and graduation rates.
Support academic advising efforts and student engagement with school-sponsored extracurricular activities such as clubs, hackathons, and internships.
Monitor and evaluate student satisfaction with academic programs and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
Assist in the development and execution of the department’s strategic plan, aligning it with the broader vision of the university and college.
Represent the department in university meetings, faculty councils, and other academic forums.
Develop partnerships with local industries, government agencies, and other academic institutions to enhance research, internships, and employment opportunities for students.
