Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Assistant Professor, Research - Center for Molecular Medicine and Genetics at its Detroit campus location. Requirements

  • Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Molecular Cell Biology.
  • Ph.D. dissertation in mitochondrial bioenergetics.

Responsibilities

  • Teach university courses in Mitochondrial Biology including: MGG 7020 – Metabolism & Disease; MGG 8770 – Molecular Biology of Mitochondrial Disease; IBS 7015 – Interdisciplinary Cell & Molecular Biology; & MGG 7400 – Molecular Biology of Cellular Signaling.
  • Develop course in "molecular biology of aging."
  • Advise students.
  • Conduct research in mitochondrial bioenergetics.
  • Publish results in peer-reviewed journals & present results of research at professional conferences.
