About The Position

The Department of Orthopaedics, Division of Musculoskeletal Science at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is recruiting for an extramurally funded, full time investigator with expertise in musculoskeletal biology. The ideal candidate will have a history of high-quality impactful research, federal funding, peer reviewed publications & evidence of collaboration with the ability to work well in a team setting. Expected rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank and tenure status will be commensurate with selected candidate’s experience.

Requirements

  • PhD or MD from a recognized accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent).
  • Expertise in musculoskeletal biology.
  • History of high-quality impactful research.
  • History of federal funding.
  • History of peer-reviewed publications.
  • Evidence of collaboration.
  • Ability to work well in a team setting.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct extramurally funded research in musculoskeletal biology.
