About The Position

The Department of Speech and Hearing Science in the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University invites applications for a clinical-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Clinical Professor in Audiology. This position includes providing high-quality, evidence-based audiologic care within The Ohio State University Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic; precepting and mentoring Doctor of Audiology (AuD) students in clinical practice; teaching within the AuD curriculum; and contributing to the service and scholarly missions of the department. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team committed to excellence in patient care, clinical education, student mentorship, community engagement, and professional leadership. Requirements

Applicants must hold a Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree or equivalent doctoral degree in audiology and be eligible for audiology licensure in the State of Ohio.
Experience in comprehensive audiologic assessment and hearing loss rehabilitation, including amplification.
A commitment to excellence in clinical education and interest in teaching in both clinical and classroom settings.

Additional expertise in specialized areas of audiology (e.g., vestibular assessment and management, tinnitus, electrophysiology, cochlear implants, or related areas) is welcomed, and applicants are encouraged to highlight those experiences.

Responsibilities

Teach, model, and provide high-quality, evidence-based audiologic (and related) care while serving a diverse patient population and providing clinical education within The Ohio State University Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic.
Teach graduate-level courses in audiology in alignment with departmental needs and the candidate's areas of expertise.
Support the daily operation and advancement of the clinic; this may include oversight of clinical resources, equipment, technologies, software systems, clinical spaces, and other operational activities necessary to support an efficient and patient-centered clinical environment.
Participate in program-related and professional service activities, including committee work, admissions, assessment initiatives, outreach activities, and departmental events.
Engage in research or scholarly activities, including the supervision and mentorship of student capstone projects.
Support the mission of the clinic, department, and university through collaboration, flexibility, versatility, and a shared commitment to student success, patient care, and program excellence.
