About The Position
The Assistant Professor of Social Work position requires post-MSW practice experience, experience teaching social work courses, and a graduate social work license in Minnesota or immediate eligibility for one. Preferred qualifications include independent licensure eligibility, additional teaching experience, clinical practice, critical self-reflective pedagogy, anti-oppressive practice, and experience teaching or mentoring diverse student populations. Candidates with a PhD may be considered for a tenure-track position.
Requirements
- Two years of post-MSW practice experience.
- Some experience teaching social work courses.
- Graduate license in social work in the State of Minnesota, or immediate eligibility for a graduate license.
Nice To Haves
- Eligibility for independent licensure (LISW or LICSW).
- Two or more years of teaching experience.
- Clinical practice experience.
- Experience with critical self-reflective pedagogy.
- Experience with anti-oppressive practice.
- Experience teaching or mentoring diverse student populations.
- A PhD; candidates with a PhD may be considered for a tenure-track position.
