About The Position

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Gynecologic Oncology and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, research, and clinical care. The candidate will join a group of 10 physicians and physician scientists who provide clinical services at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Hospital and Chester County Hospital. The Division has an ACGME-accredited Fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology with six fellows (2/year) and participates in the Division participates in the NRG cooperative group trials and a very active Section of Population Science research.

Requirements

  • M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
  • BC/BE in Ob/Gyn and Gynecologic Oncology.
  • Subspecialty trained in Gynecologic Oncology.
  • Expertise in advanced observational study methods including coding and analyses of large databases.

  • A strong advocate of multinational collaborations is a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching and supervising medical students, Ob/Gyn residents and Gynecologic Oncology fellows.
  • Participation in formal curriculum.
  • Out-patient consultations for women with gynecologic cancers.
  • In-patient consultation and operative care at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Hospital, Chester County Hospital and Penn Medicine satellite practice sites.
  • Basic, translational, clinical and/or health policy research.
  • Collaborative science.
