Assistant Professor of Nursing (9-month position)

OLIVET COLLEGE•Olivet, MI
•$70,000 - $80,000

About The Position

The University of Olivet Nursing Program seeks a full-time nursing faculty member to teach across the Pre-Licensure BSN curriculum. The program admits a new cohort each semester and uses an integrated course model: each semester, a cohort takes one combined course carrying up to eight credit hours and containing didactic instruction, skills lab, simulation, and clinical rotation components. Faculty teach across all four settings and follow a cohort through a full semester of learning. This is a 9-month position running July 1 through April 30. This is a teaching-centered position at a small institution where faculty have direct influence over curriculum, course design, and program growth. The successful candidate will join a program building its course portfolio and preparing for CCNE accreditation review, with the opportunity to shape both. Teaching assignments may include mental health nursing, pathopharmacology, nursing fundamentals, comprehensive nursing care, and family centered care; the final assignment will depend on the candidate’s background and program needs. Responsibilities span didactic teaching, skills lab and simulation instruction, and clinical supervision. Faculty also advise and mentor students, support NCLEX preparation, contribute to program assessment and accreditation activities, participate in recruitment and university service, maintain an appropriate program of scholarship, and pursue professional development.
