The Music Program, housed within the School of Literary and Performing Arts (SLPA) at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track position as Assistant Professor/Director of Music Education, with a secondary emphasis in instrumental performance and/or conducting. This position will administer the music education program, which includes advising music education majors, serving as a liaison between the Music Program and School of Education, observing student teachers, and cultivating positive relationships with area K-12 music educators and school district staff. The successful candidate will participate in recruitment to promote the growth of the Music Program. The School of Literary and Performing Arts is committed to providing a learning environment that prepares students to be artists, educators and innovators for the 21st century. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
