About The Position

The History Department at Ave Maria University is seeking to hire a full-time Assistant Professor of History. This position is set to begin in the 2027-2028 academic year. The university is a private Catholic institution with a strong emphasis on classical liberal arts and a commitment to the Catholic Church's Magisterium. The campus is located in Ave Maria, Florida.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in History or a closely related field.
• Expertise in a subfield of American history.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Cover Letter
• Curriculum Vitae, including a list of publications
• Graduate and Undergraduate University Transcripts
• Teaching Philosophy as it Relates to the Apostolic Constitution Ex Corde Ecclesiae
• Research Statement: Research in progress and further interests
