The Health Science Faculty at West Texas A&M University is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, supporting student success, and contributing to the growth and development of the Health Science Department. This position involves teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses, developing and revising curriculum, and engaging in service activities that support the mission of the university and the healthcare workforce needs of the Texas Panhandle. The instructor will provide engaging, evidence-based instruction in areas such as population health, healthcare systems, health promotion, and rural health, utilizing a variety of instructional modalities including face-to-face, hybrid, and online delivery. The role includes mentoring students, advising on academic and career pathways, and facilitating experiential learning opportunities such as internships, clinical placements, and community-based projects. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the Health Science Instructor will participate in program assessment, accreditation activities, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. The position requires collaboration with faculty, staff, and community partners to strengthen healthcare education pathways and expand workforce development efforts.
