About The Position

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is seeking an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics within the School of Public Health. The ideal candidate will possess a strong methodological background in epidemiology, excellent communication skills, a passion for teaching and mentoring students at undergraduate, Master's, and PhD levels, and a demonstrated ability to collaborate with researchers in public health and related fields. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in epidemiology and public health, conducting scholarly research, and securing extramural funding.

Requirements

• PhD in epidemiology or a similar field (public health) from an accredited college or university.
• Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
• Solid methodological background in epidemiology.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interest in teaching and mentoring.
• Ability to collaborate with research investigators in public health and/or related fields of study.
