About The Position

California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) is seeking applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, College of Engineering. The positions are set to begin in Fall 2027. The successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence and possess the potential to establish a research program involving both undergraduate and graduate students. Responsibilities will include teaching introductory and advanced courses, curriculum development, student advising, serving on departmental, college, and university committees, and engaging in professional activities. Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited university by the date of appointment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence.
  • Evidence of ongoing scholarly research in the applicant’s area of expertise, including publishing peer-reviewed articles.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the IEEE code of ethics.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to teach a broad range of courses in the area of Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • Demonstrated potential for developing innovative lecture and laboratory curricula.
  • Teaching experience in Electrical or Computer Engineering at an accredited university or college program with demonstrated ability to provide hands-on education.

  • Specialization in Control Systems, Robotics, Analog and Digital Electronics, RF Electronics, Communications, Signal Processing, and Power Engineering.

Benefits
