About The Position

The Molasky Family Department of Economics & Real Estate in the Lee Business School at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank with an expected start date of Fall 2027. We seek applicants with outstanding research and teaching potential in applied microeconomics, particularly candidates working in public, labor, health, or industrial organization. The successful candidate will strengthen our department's research in this area and teach graduate and undergraduate courses, which may include microeconomics at the master's level. Responsibilities also include participating in departmental, college, and university service; and collaborating with faculty to advance the department’s research and teaching mission.

Requirements

Ph.D. in Economics, Finance, or related disciplines from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
Potential to conduct high-quality research in their field of expertise.
Potential to publish in leading academic journals.
Potential to be a high-quality teacher at undergraduate and graduate levels, which may include microeconomics at the master's level.
