About The Position

Eastern New Mexico University is seeking an Assistant Professor in Digital Filmmaking for their Portales, NM location. This is a tenure-track, on-campus role. Responsibilities include teaching filmmaking courses related to digital cinematography and lighting, participating in curriculum development, maintaining a professional artistic/research portfolio, student advising, and participating in student recruiting efforts. The role involves interacting with students from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds to mentor their development in film production, both in and out of the classroom, and serving on departmental, college, and university committees. Some evening and weekend duties are involved. The position may require background checks, including reference checks.

Requirements

• Master's in Film or related field.

Responsibilities

• Teach filmmaking courses related to digital cinematography, lighting, and other filmmaking courses.
