The position involves direct patient care, including surgical procedures, consultative services, outpatient services, and inpatient care. Additionally, the role includes teaching responsibilities for medical students and residents in various settings such as conferences, lectures, bedside teaching, rounds, the operating room, clinics, and inpatient services. Continuing medical education and participation in local, regional, and national meetings are also expected. Administrative duties include supervising and evaluating residents and students, and participating in departmental and health system committees.
