About The Position

The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine-UHealth is seeking a physiatrist, who is board admissible or board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, for an outpatient Interventional Pain and Spine practice within a growing department. This role is an Assistant Professor position. The ideal candidate will provide clinical services at the main campus clinic, focusing on interventional pain and spine and general rehabilitation medicine. Additionally, the candidate will participate in teaching medical students, PM&R residents, and fellows, as well as engage in research activities.

Requirements

  • Physical and Medicine Residency
  • Fellowship Trained in Interventional Pain and Spine Medicine
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Interventional Pain and Spine Medicine
  • Good communications skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other employees
  • Good organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide 9 outpatient sessions per week at the UHealth medical campus and Miami-Dade county satellites.
  • Provide an average of 4-5 weekend call coverage for the Lynn Rehabilitation Center at Jackson Health System.
  • Prepare and present at teaching conferences.
  • Actively participate in the training program of the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital PM&R Residency Training Program.
  • Provide teaching to students, residents, and fellows in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
