About The Position

The University of Miami is seeking an Assistant Professor of Clinical with demonstrated experience and interest in Orthopaedics, Oncology. This role involves examining, diagnosing, and treating diseases and injuries, prescribing courses of treatment, and performing necessary surgeries. The position also includes conducting and supervising direct patient care, offering non-surgical treatment options, and planning/executing disease prevention and health promotion programs. The Assistant Professor will exercise command of medical units as provided by law and regulations, provide outpatient and hospital consultation services, and maintain Continuing Medical Education (CME) units as required by the specifying Board. Responsibilities also include maintaining historical patient records and enhancing the department's reputation by taking ownership of new requests and seeking opportunities to add value.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience and interest in Orthopaedics, Oncology.
• Maintain CME units based on the requirements of the specifying Board.
• Maintain historical records by documenting symptoms, medications, and treatment events and writing summaries.

Responsibilities

• Examines, diagnoses, and treats diseases and injuries.
• Prescribes course of treatment for patients with injuries, disorders, or malformations and performs required surgery.
• Conducts and supervises direct patient care, including some non-surgical treatment options.
• Plans and executes disease prevention and health promotion programs.
• Exercises command of medical units as provided by law and regulations.
• Provides outpatient consultation and hospital consultation services.
• Maintains CME units based on the requirements of the specifying Board.
• Maintains historical records by documenting symptoms, medications, and treatment events and writing summaries.
• Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
