Trinity University’s Department of Sociology and Anthropology seeks applications for a tenure-track position in Environmental Anthropology, broadly construed, beginning in August 2027. The geographic area of expertise is open, although preference will be given to those working in Africa, the Middle East, or Latin America. The candidate must be prepared to teach Humans and the Environment, introductory courses, and develop upper-division courses of their choice in their area of specialization. Trinity University is a secular, independent, private institution, founded in 1869, offering high-quality science, liberal arts, and pre-professional programs to approximately 2,500 undergraduate students. The Department of Sociology and Anthropology is part of the School of Social Science & Civic Engagement and offers majors in Sociology and Anthropology and minors in Museum Studies and Archaeology.
