About The Position

The Department of Business, Government & Society (BGS) at the University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business is seeking an Assistant Professor (tenure track) specializing in nonmarket strategy/political economy. The position begins August 16, 2027. The department is particularly interested in candidates whose research explores global political economy, including the roles of firms and industries in geopolitics, economics, trade, and resource/environmental economics. Requirements

• Ph.D. in economics, political science, or strategic management by the start date of the position.
• Ability to publish in top outlets in economics, political science, or strategic management.
• Prepared to teach international business at undergraduate, MBA, and EMBA levels.
• Prepared to contribute to a new undergraduate core class in nonmarket strategy.

Responsibilities
