The Department of Engineering at Abilene Christian University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. We are seeking a talented engineer and dedicated follower of Christ who desires the opportunity to shape the next generation of engineers. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong desire to develop excellence in teaching and provide intentional mentorship to our students. Furthermore, you will be expected to establish a sustainable research program that prioritizes the active participation of undergraduate students. While we welcome candidates with the potential for growth, the ideal applicant will have already demonstrated excellence in these areas. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Education, or a closely related discipline such as Aerospace, Chemical, Materials Science, Nuclear, or Petroleum Engineering. Founded in 2012, the engineering program currently serves approximately 175 students. The program is currently ABET/EAC accredited under “General Engineering” and will be seeking accreditation in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering in Fall 2027.
