About The Position

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law seeks to hire an entry-level, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Law. The successful candidate will teach Torts and other courses as needed, likely including Remedies and Professional Responsibility. The position begins in August 2027. Bowen’s mission is guided by three core values: access to justice, public service, and professionalism. The law school’s rigorous curriculum aims to balance theory, skill development, and experiential learning. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Requirements

• Hold a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Strong writing and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate ability to teach
• Demonstrated ability to advise students
• Demonstrated ability to communicate in person, in writing, and through electronic means
• Demonstrated ability to work as a team player, and collaborate with colleagues
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
