Florida Gulf Coast University invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Integrated Studies. As Assistant Professor of Integrated Studies, you will teach a 3/3 load, primarily at the undergraduate level, with courses that contribute to program requirements as well as courses in your area of expertise; be involved in course and/or curriculum development; conduct research/scholarship; participate on College and University committees and/or initiatives; and perform other duties as assigned. Integrated Studies is a distinctive department in the College of Arts and Sciences emphasizing transdisciplinary teaching, research, and practice. The department particularly welcomes applicants who bring new disciplinary training and areas of expertise to the department’s faculty, and who can develop courses that contribute to the department’s goals of training students in whole-systems thinking and analysis and preparing students to engage with entrenched and multifaceted societal challenges.
