About The Position

The College of Science and Technology’s Physics Department at Temple University invites applications for a tenure-track appointment as an Assistant Professor in Theoretical Nuclear Physics, expected to begin September 1, 2024. Initially, this position will be funded in part by the DOE Topical Collaboration on Quark-Gluon Tomography and possibly by the RIKEN BNL Research Center.

Requirements

  • Hold a doctorate in an appropriate field.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform excellent research.
  • Show promise for high-quality Physics teaching.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in perturbative and non-perturbative QCD.
  • Experience in the parton structure of hadrons.
  • Experience in the physics of the Electron Ion Collider.
