The School of Environmental and Forest Sciences (SEFS) at the University of Washington is seeking to hire an Assistant Professor without tenure to focus on Sustainable Wood Utilization. This full-time, twelve-month position is for a three-year term, renewable based on funding, starting in April 2027. The role involves research, teaching, and service within a diverse and inclusive academic community. The successful candidate will join the Center for International Trade in Forest Products (CINTRAFOR) and is expected to secure external funding for their research. The position will be primarily supported by extramural funding, with partial salary support from CINTRAFOR's state funds for the first 24 months. Depending on SEFS needs, the candidate may also teach up to two courses per year. The School of Environmental and Forest Sciences is dedicated to advancing knowledge for the stewardship of natural and managed environments and the sustainable use of their resources, serving approximately 700 undergraduates and 110 graduate students.
