About The Position

The Department of Statistics at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, is seeking two tenure-track assistant professors with expertise in statistics and data science, beginning August 16, 2027. One of these positions will have a specific focus on sports analytics. The successful candidates are expected to establish and maintain a high-quality, high-impact research program, secure external funding, and collaborate with researchers across disciplines at Iowa State. Responsibilities also include engaging in professional and institutional service, teaching graduate and undergraduate students, and advising graduate students within one of the nation's largest statistics graduate programs.

Requirements

PhD or equivalent degree in statistics or closely related discipline by appointment start date.
