About The Position

The Bradley University Department of  [https://dev.bradley.edu/academic/departments/psy/]Psychology [https://dev.bradley.edu/academic/departments/psy/] invites applications for a one-year, Full-Time Visiting Assistant Professor position to begin August 2026.  A Ph.D. or ABD in Psychology is required by the expected start date.  The successful candidate will demonstrate their experience and/or ability to teach three or more of the following psychology courses:  Introduction to Psychology, Research methods, Personality, Social, Health, Cross-Cultural, Positive, Abnormal.  Course assignments will depend on the candidate's interests and departmental needs.  The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of their teaching responsibilities.  Research is not required for this position, but candidates will have opportunities and support to conduct research. Requirements

  • A Ph.D. or ABD in Psychology is required by the expected start date.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate their experience and/or ability to teach three or more of the following psychology courses:  Introduction to Psychology, Research methods, Personality, Social, Health, Cross-Cultural, Positive, Abnormal.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of their teaching responsibilities.
  • Applications must include: a cover letter outlining qualifications for the position, a curriculum vita, a teaching statement, evidence of teaching effectiveness, and a diversity statement that outlines how they will integrate principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion into their pedagogy.
  • Three letters of recommendation will be solicited from those who are invited to interview.
