The Department of Criminology & Criminal Justice invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 2027. The substantive area of research is open to scholars whose research focuses on any aspect of violent crime, global or comparative criminology, transnational crime, or related areas of criminological inquiry. This is a standard nine-month faculty appointment with a competitive startup package. The successful candidate must have earned a Ph.D. in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or a related social-behavioral field by the position’s start date. Evidence of methodological strength, research productivity, promise for extramural funding, and interest in graduate student mentoring and collaborative research will be especially valued.
