About The Position

EVMS Medical Group and Macon and Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University are seeking dynamic and motivated Night Medicine Hospitalist Faculty to join the Division of Hospital Medicine within the Department of Medicine. This is a unique academic position that offers the opportunity to work in a leading-edge quaternary care referral center—Sentara Norfolk General Hospital (SNGH); a level one trauma center recognized nationally for its excellence across numerous specialties. Requirements

Board-certified or board-eligible candidate.
Completed an ACGME-certified residency in Internal Medicine.
Hold a Virginia medical license.
Hold DEA certification.
Outstanding clinical skills.
Passion for high-quality patient care.
Commitment to medical education and clinical research.
J-1 and H-1B Visa applicants welcome.

Responsibilities

Academic Appointment at the Assistant Professor rank (or higher, based on qualifications).
Engage in teaching and mentoring of night-float residents and other learners.
Provide cross-coverage for overflow non-teaching patients, and manage admissions independently when needed.
Ample opportunities to teach internal medicine residents, medical students, and other learners across our affiliated programs.
