About The Position

Northwest Missouri State University is seeking an Assistant Professor of Finance. This role is responsible for teaching twelve hours per trimester (fall and spring trimesters), including advanced undergraduate and graduate finance courses such as Financial Management (MBA) and Selected Cases in Finance, as well as introductory undergraduate courses like Fundamentals of Business Finance. The position also requires conducting research leading to publication in peer-reviewed journals, engaging in other scholarly activities, participating in university service including committee work, advising students, and developing courses for online or classroom delivery.

Requirements

  • A Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Finance or closely related field.
  • Demonstrated ability teaching undergraduate and graduate courses at the college level.
  • Demonstrated ability teaching online courses at the college level.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching twelve hours per trimester (fall and spring trimesters) including advanced undergraduate and graduate finance courses such as Financial Management (MBA), Selected Cases in Finance, and similar courses.
  • Teaching introductory undergraduate courses in Finance including courses such as Fundamentals of Business Finance and similar courses.
  • Completing research leading to publication in peer reviewed journals and engaging in other scholarly activity.
  • Participating in University service, including committee work at the School and University levels.
  • Advising students.
  • Developing courses for online or classroom delivery.
