About The Position

RIT’s Department of Electrical and Microelectronic Engineering Technology invites applications from candidates in the areas of digital electronics, analog electronics or electronics for biomedical systems. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and/or Microelectronic Engineering or a closely related field. The candidate’s research must specialize in one or more of the following areas: digital electronics, analog electronics, electronics for biomedical systems, quantum electronics or neuromorphic computing with a record of refereed publications in the area. Candidates must have prior teaching experience; potential for establishing and conducting sponsored research; excellent written and oral communication skills; and ability to collaborate within and beyond the department. Candidates with commensurate qualifications and experience may be considered for appointment at a higher rank (Associate Professor). Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Electrical, Microelectronic and/or Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Refereed publications in one or more of the following areas: digital electronics, analog electronics, electronics for biomedical systems, devices & circuits based on emerging electronics materials, nanoelectronics and semiconductors, neuromorphic computing and artificial intelligence hardware, quantum electronics.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Prior course or lab (Teaching Assistant) teaching experience in electrical engineering related fields.
  • Potential for establishing and conducting sponsored research.
  • Ability to collaborate within and beyond the Department of Electrical & Microelectronic Engineering.
