Southern Illinois University Edwardsville invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor to assume the duties of Director of Choral Activities. Preferred candidates will have experience conducting a variety of choral ensembles, expertise in recruitment and retention of students, and a strong desire to build community engagement. The department offers degrees in classical performance, jazz performance, music education, theory/composition, and music business. The music degree programs are fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. The Director of Choral Activities will provide artistic and administrative leadership for all areas of the choral program.
